What's on the market? Most frames you see on the market today are mouldings, mass produced, usually out of inferior soft or RAIN FOREST woods and plastics that are laminated with a finish, produced in lengths and cut and joined per order.
IntegrityStudio continues the tradition of Bucks County Frame makers with our hand hewn furniture frames.
What makes us different? All of our frames start from an 8" wide plank of furniture grade, North American, FOREST MANAGED* lumber. We custom design and shape each profile, miter, assemble and finish each piece by hand. We work with 5/4" and 6/4" (inch) thick Poplar, Black Walnut, Ash and soft maple. Unlike chop and join frames, each layer of finish is applied after the frame is made, giving you the finished corner only found on furniture grade frames.
It's all in the finish (No VOC's enviornmentaly friendly products only. Just the way it was done 100 years ago) IntegrityStudio has perfected a number of period and contemporary finish techniques, including hand rubbed oils, antique milk paints, silver and gold leaf as well as primitive and ultra distressed shellac over paint, and all of our finishes are earth friendly!
